The Video Game Kraken Console Challenge puts that to the test. We show you a picture of a console, and you pick its name and maker from four answers. It sounds easy, until the consoles get stranger.
How it works
- 5 levels of 10 consoles each. Level 1 starts with the classics. By level 5 you’re in deep Kraken territory.
- The points go up with the level. Each right answer is worth 1 point in level 1 and 5 points in level 5. A perfect game is 150 points.
- Pick your difficulty. Easy gives you 3 lives, Medium 2 and Hard just 1.
- Earn a rank. Go from Newcomer to Nostalgic, Collector, Historian and Archaeologist. Only a perfect game earns the title of Kraken Master.
The consoles are picked at random from a pool of more than 200 systems, so every game is different. If you miss one, we show you the right answer and a link to learn more about it. When you’re done, share your score and challenge your friends to beat it.
Watch out for a few trick answers along the way. Consoles that look alike never appear as wrong answers for each other, but a joke answer or two might.
